IFSG (formerly FIFS) announces ‘Game Plan’ fantasy sports conference on 22nd February

The Indian Federation of Sports Gaming or IFSG (formerly known as the Federation of Indian Fantasy Sports) has announced a one day event ‘Game Plan 2018’ on 22nd February, 2018 to discuss the growth and future of the fantasy sports industry.

The day long conference, a first such event to exclusively discuss the opportunities and scope in the fantasy sports industry is being held at The Trident Hotel in South Mumbai and will see three panel discussions concerning the Indian fantasy sports industry.

The first panel will discuss the investment potential in fantasy sports in India and will see prominent guests like Vani Kola from Kalaari Capital, Renuka Ramanathan from Multiples Equity and former IPL COO Sundar Raman speak on the scope and opportunities in the sector.

A second discussion on the legal landscape of fantasy sports in India will see participation from Nishith Desai Associates Partner Gowree Gokhale, LawNK founder Nandan Kamath, Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas Partner Ravi Kumar and Khaitan & Co’s Ganesh Prasad. The panel will discuss the legal and regulatory framework governing the fantasy sports industry.

The third panel discussion is expected to talk about synergies between sports leagues and fantasy sports games. National Basketball Association India Managing Director Yannick Colaco, G Srinivvasan, Marketing and Strategy Head of Indian Super League and Aarti Dabas, Head- Media Rights, Broadcast and Digital of the International Cricket Council are slated to speak in the panel.

Harsh Jain, CEO and Co-Founder of Dream11 and Chairman of IFSG is scheduled to give the welcome address and also make closing remarks.
