Adda52 hosts successful online+offline Big Millions Tournament with 1000+ entries

Online poker website Adda52, a subsidiary of gaming and hospitality conglomerate Delta Corp, successfully hosted a unique ‘Big Millions’ tournament, which was perhaps the first Indian online tournament where the final table was hosted live, at the Deltin Royale casino in Goa.

The event, which had a guaranteed prize pool of Rs. 1 crore and buy-in of Rs. 11,000 saw a whopping 1175 total entries from players across India. The tournament kicked off online on 4th March at 5 pm and the tables where frozen once the final eight-handed table was formed.

The eight finalists were then flown down on a sponsored trip to Goa where the final table was conducted live at the Deltin Royale casino on 10th March.  The final table, streamed live on Facebook and social media, had commentary by Abhishek Goindi, Manish Adnani. Aditya Sushant and Pulkit Totla.

Kalyan Chakravarthy emerged as the winner of the tournament and took home a total prize money of Rs. 28.50 lakhs.  Chakravarthy’s name and photograph were also added to the ‘Adda52 Hall of Fame’ at the casino vessel and he also is eligible for a dinner date with Adda52 professional player and Bollywood actress Minissha Lamba.

Kolkata-based Shashwat Agarwal finished second and received a prize money of Rs. 15.48 lakhs. Apart from Chakravarthy and Agarwal, the other top 127 players also received cash prize money.

Commenting on the success of the event, Mohit Agarwal, co-founder of Adda52 said, “We are known as the ‘Poker People’ in India, the ones who kick-started the Poker revolution. This year we wanted our players to be revolutionized a step further… and give them a life changing tournament, in terms of both, prestige and money. With Big Millions, we achieved it!
