FTR Poker acquired by The Spartan Poker
Quadrific Media Pvt. Ltd., the company that operates The Spartan Poker, has acquired the online poker website FTR Poker last week. The company has not stated the consideration paid or other details about the contours of the completed transaction.
The announcement was made in an email sent out by the FTR Poker support team to its players yesterday. Players were further informed that player balances have been moved from Diode Gaming Solutions Pvt. Ltd. (the erstwhile company that operated FTR Poker) to Quadrific Media Pvt. Ltd.
Existing customers were also informed that the acquisition will give them access to super high value tournaments and a wide range of cash games. Users having any objection to the transfer of funds have been given an opportunity to communicate the same to Quadrific Media.
Amin Rozani, Managing Director of The Spartan Poker confirmed that the acquisition had taken place last week and noted, “Quadrific Media has taken over the brand FTR Poker, player pools and existing balances. We are happy to announce this acquisition as it will add more value to players. In future, we may be looking at acquiring other poker websites as well and consolidating the industry.”
Rozani, in an exclusive interview with Glaws last week had indicated that his company was in discussions with FTR Poker for a possible acquisition opportunity and was looking forward to add a new brand to the collection ‘if everything goes well’.
Over the past few weeks, players of FTR Poker have not been able to their balances and existing funds due to the ongoing process of completion of the takeover. It is understood that the issue of pending cashouts of FTR players’ deposits and winnings will be cleared in the next few days.
